Holistic fitness is a synergetic path to fitness that considers equally the eight essential components that make up a person’s wellness:

The holistic approach to fitness is multidimensional. It takes into account that everything in the body is connected. Holistic Fitness addresses more than just muscle strength and endurance. It is a health practice that seeks to:

  • Go way beyond using just exercise to enhance physical and mental fitness

  • Combine practices for stress reduction, improving sleep, boosting mental health, and more to achieve higher levels of fitness

  • Embrace the intertwinement of the mental and physical and use it to your advantage to improve both simultaneously

  • Redefine fitness as a practice that goes so much deeper than “eat less, move more”

This is why our logo draws from the two prominent symbols of the Muladhara, otherwise known as the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra is the foundation of your chakra system, just as your health is the foundation of your life.

It simultaneously represents not only staying grounded, but also the birth of human consciousness—intertwining the mental and physical.

The square is the foundational, grounding shape representing balance, physicality, stability, and structure, where the inverted triangle symbolizes the expansion and unfolding of our consciousness. In this way, we seek to build a strong, well rooted foundation for our health and use that foundation to grow and expand our potential.

m e e t t h e f o u n d e r

When I first realized that my fitness journey shouldn’t feel the way it was feeling, I was in the same place as a lot of people are today. I had gained some weight that I wanted to lose so I hopped on the elliptical and downloaded an app to track my calories. But the elliptical felt like my own personal torture device. And the app told me to eat 1200 calories, so I listened to it. Or at least I tried to but was never successful because I was so hungry all the time. I was miserable. AND it didn’t work.

Three years later I found other women online who seemed to be enjoying their fitness journeys. They were resistance training and eating to fuel their bodies, not to look skinny. A whole new world opened up to me. I started lifting and absolutely fell in love. Exercise was no longer tortuous but instead, I looked forward to it because it made me feel strong, gave me energy, and boosted my mental clarity. I also started to educate myself about nutrition and realized I should be eating more. A LOT more. So I did, and I felt even better.

And because I felt so good, I was consistent. And I started to see results. I got leaner than ever. My friends started asking me what I was doing.

It felt effortless because it felt good.

I never want anyone to feel stuck like I did, hating exercise and confused as to why their effort isn’t paying off. So I founded Holistic Fitness Labs so that I can show people how to live a balanced, healthy, and holistic fitness lifestyle that will finally get them the results they have worked so hard for. If I can change one person’s life the way mine was changed, I will be happy. I hope that can be you.
