  • While some people do lose weight on a reverse diet, how to lose fat in an effective and healthy way that won't tank your metabolism is outside the scope of this course. This course is solely about reverse dieting. If you’ve already reverse dieted or already have a healthy metabolism, Fat Loss 101 might be a better fit for you.

  • This course is designed to be friendly to all levels of education around fitness (and all fitness levels). Don't know how to track macros? We got you – Lesson 6.5 walks you through how to do it. Don't know how to do certain exercises? All workout programs link video demonstrations of every exercise. PLUS that is one of the big benefits of the group support and group coaching! If you still have questions, you'll have plenty of people to turn to for answers.

  • Reverse dieting speeds up your metabolism to turn your body into a fat burning machine. This ultimately makes it a LOT easier to lose weight AND keep it off long term. While some people DO lose weight on their reverse diet, on average, most people maintain. The goal of a reverse diet is not to lose weight while reverse dieting, but rather to undo all the metabolic damage done by years of chronic restriction that is making it IMPOSSIBLE for you to lose weight now. This is the process that will actually give you the opportunity to see your hard work pay off.

  • If your metabolism is healthy and you're able to lose weight AND keep it off without any issues, then go for it! If this is the case, a reverse diet isn't for you.

    But if you've been attempting to diet over and over and are not seeing results, that's not going to change until you change your approach. Repeatedly trying to "lose weight now" is precisely what has made it impossible for you to lose weight. Repeated bouts of dieting slows your metabolism, making each successive weight loss attempt harder and harder.

    I hate to break it to you, but there really isn't a magic formula that will finally come to your rescue and cause all the fat to melt off and stay off. So trying the next new thing is just going to get you the same results as all the other things you've tried. Maybe you lose 10 lbs at first, but then you gain it all back.

    This process will just keep happening over and over unless you put a stop to the cycle and repair your metabolism. That's what reverse dieting can do for you. It will make your NEXT diet successful ...assuming you diet in a healthy way, not with a crash diet.

  • Having extra weight to lose does not preclude you from having a successful reverse diet. In fact, the students of ours who have had the most weight loss on a reverse diet were ones who were more significantly overweight.
