MARISA

Marisa is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACE Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and ACE Functional Training Specialist. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT.

She has provided science-based fitness education on her YouTube channel, MissFitAndNerdy, since 2017, has worked with 1-on-1 clients for several years, and launched Holistic Fitness Labs in 2022 to be able to expand her reach and help as many people as possible.

Through coaching dozens of people and helping them break through plateaus, heal their hormones, improve their mindsets, and lose weight, she discovered a strategy that worked.

    The initial course fee includes 6 months of access to the private forum for group coaching, live monthly workshops, and group support. After that it is $47/mo to continue with this part of the course.

    You can choose to start your fat loss journey at any time during the course or can even choose to just use the course to learn as much as you can about fat loss so that you can start at a later time. Losing the weight itself may take anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months, or more depending on how much you have to lose.

  • Yes! The course is written to be SUSTAINABLE. We know that life happens and sometimes you have to press pause on your fat loss journey.

    Not only does the course come with information for how to adjust your fat loss journey if you need to make temporary or long term changes to your workout plan, it also lets you set your own pace.

    You can choose to start your fat loss journey whenever you are ready. You will have lifetime access to all the course materials. And you will have ongoing coaching support until you choose to cancel your subscription.

ABOUT THE PROCESS:

  • While we do recommend tracking calories if you can, Bonus Module #1 is dedicated entirely to how to lose fat without tracking calories! In that module, we go into everything you need to know if you want to lose fat in a healthy, sustainable way WITHOUT tracking a single macro.

  • No! Module 4 covers many metrics of progress that are useful on your fat loss journey that isn't weight. In fact, weight alone is rarely a good indicator of progress anyway. So if weighing yourself is triggering for you, you can completely avoid it and still get the same success.

  • Fat Loss 101 is unlike any other fat loss program because it starts with building a proper foundation before starting to lose weight. And the weight loss strategies used are designed to be sustainable. If you’ve only ever tried fast weight loss programs or crash diets, this will be an entirely different experience.

    However, if you are concerned that you’re already eating too little and there’s no way you can eat less to lose weight, we recommend using our metabolism calculator here to determine if Reverse Dieting 101: The Metabolism Repair Manual may be a more suitable course for you to start with.

  • Having extra weight to lose does not change the strategy for long term fat loss. You will be able to follow this course as written to get the same results!
